If you think you’d like to be a
member of American Mensa, the high IQ society, but you’re nervous
about arriving at the Mensa Admissions Test session unprepared,
Piedmont Area Mensa and American Mensa have the solution for you.
Using a combination of the Mensa Home Test and The IQ Answer
by Dr. Frank Lawlis, you’ll find yourself better equipped to answer
the questions on the Mensa Admission Test, and you may even improve
your score.
“The Mensa Home Test is a great way for a person to practice
test-taking while having fun at the same time,” says Pam Donahoo,
Executive Director of American Mensa. “It will also give you an idea
of the kind of questions you may see on the Mensa Admissions Test. If
you’re one of those people who likes to prepare, the Mensa Home Test
is an inexpensive and effective way to go.”
While the Mensa Home Test is not mandatory for membership and can not be
used as a qualifying test result to join, it does engage the brain,
and it gives the test-taker an understanding of what to expect from
American Mensa's supervised test.
The Mensa
Home Test can be scored only if it is taken in its entirety,
including the English-language-based verbal section*. Once you
complete the Mensa Home Test and send it to the National Office, it
will be scored, honestly and privately, and you then will receive a
letter recommending whether or not you should sit for the supervised
test.
The Mensa Home Test
can be purchased from Piedmont Area Mensa for $15 (a $3 discount off
the price of a test purchased from American Mensa).** The price
of the Mensa Home Test includes confidential scoring. To purchase the Mensa Home Test, for

on how to prepare yourself mentally and physically for an IQ exam in
order to maximize your score. In the book, Dr. Lawlis reveals proven
methods, like breathing exercises and diet changes, that will help
your brain reach its IQ potential. The IQ Answer is a great
