YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO APPEAR, at the appointed place and time, to partake of revelry and merrymaking that shouldn't be legal but is. As always, we will have plenty of good food, friendly people and great programs. Meet friends over snacks and beverages all weekend long in our SVU (Special Victuals Unit, AKA Hospitality). Hear sworn (@#%&!) testimony in our Carolinah-style Night Court Friday evening. Come to the masked ball on Saturday evening in the guise of your favorite investigator, prosecutor, defendant (not too many OJs, please!) or inmate – or any costume of your choice. The Chief Solicitor plans to subpoena a live band for your dancing pleasure. With time off for good behavior, you can finish your sentence Sunday morning at the included buffet brunch.

Your answer to this summons shall be in the form of a completed registration and bond. Therefore, fail not to register for just $65 until February 29, 2008, for after such date the fee shall increase to $74 until April 25 and to $79 thereafter. (Inquire about discounted fees for juvenile suspects.) Registration shall cover all programs as well as Saturday lunch and deluxe Sunday brunch in the dining hall, plus all other meals in the SVU canteen.

The Carolinah Regional Gathering 2008: Law and (dis)Order shall be in session at the Radisson Hotel & Suites in Spartanburg, SC. Cell assignments shall be handled directly by the Warden thereof. Your attention is directed to Exhibit 1 on the official RG flier for further details.

You are further notified that, should you fail to appear at the Carolinah Regional Gathering 2008: Law and (dis)Order, you shall forfeit your right to enjoy good company and great times, for reasons described heretofore, hereinafter and hereabouts.
